Managed SASE - network solution with "end-to-end" security
Every company has different architectures, business goals and investments. When it comes to transformation, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. And moving to a SASE architecture is no different. Some will move quickly, while others will need a more gradual approach - and we at nicos understand that.
"The enterprise perimeter is no longer a location - it is a set of dynamic edge capabilities delivered when needed as a service from the cloud."
Gartner; The Future of Network Security is in the Cloud, Neil MacDonald, Lawrence Orans, Joe Skorupa, 2019

Our answers:
What is SASE?
SASE is the abbreviation for Secure Access Service Edge. SASE is a term for a consolidated architectural solution that provides an effective and consistent level of security and experience for users anywhere (e.g. office, home, cafΓ©, etc.) and with any device. To achieve this in the simplest way possible, SASE proposes the convergence of network and network security functions and moving them to an as-a-service cloud edge model.
Why is SASE important today?
As organizations increasingly transition to hybrid business models, they are focusing on IT strategies and implementations that can support this shift. Traditional data center architecture and decentralized network and security solutions no longer provide a consistent security and user experience.
Where does SASE come from and is it new?
SASE is the name of an architecture coined by Gartner in August 2019 and has since been widely adopted by the network and network security industry. The term SASE is new, but the architecture it describes is not.
What challenges does SASE address?
The SASE model provides security for hybrid workgroups, accelerates digital transformation and ultimately helps companies to work more efficiently and with less risk. SASE reduces IT complexity and costs by consolidating multiple vendors and technology stacks, enabling new digital business scenarios. SASE enables consistent security, regardless of the location (branch office, mobile worker) of users and devices. It also offers an improved user experience (QoE) by optimizing the routing of traffic across a global network of Points of Presence (PoPs). SASE helps improve the end-user experience by reducing the number of software agents on client devices and enabling a unified access process.
What business benefits are achieved with SASE?
SASE ties in with the strategic priorities of companies. A successful hybrid workforce, faster digital transformation and greater operational efficiency are some of the examples.
